Grace, the last Shargleam Champion, irreplaceable, irrepressible, and an absolute privilege to have owned her.

We will always be grateful to Jennifer, the late Pat Chapmans twin sister for inviting us to have a puppy from the litter bred as a tribute to Pat, and also to Pats friends who have given us invaluable and impartial help and advice over the years.

Grace gave Jane a wonderful start in the show ring, where dispite her inexperience she did very well with Grace, having fun along the way. She gained her full title in 2000.

We could not have wanted a better foundation bitch, but we were mindful to seek advice from far more experienced people than ourselves in choosing a stud dog. Wooster turned out to be an excelent choice because her only litter produced one show champion, one shooting dog certificate 'A', and six stud book numbers with a few cc's and rcc's between them.

We are now into our fourth generation; she has passed down many of her attributes and mannerisms, including that unmistakeable Shargleam 'Yip', and especially her wonderful temperament and good looks.

'She was so special'

Ch Shargleam Legend of Benvellyn

Grace's daughter and very like her mother, she was an excellent worker, who achieved her Shooting Dog Certificate 'A' at the age of two and gained two RCC's in the show ring. Sadly we lost her at six years of age before she could realise her full potential.

Exceptionally for us Tuda had two litters, we kept one puppy from the first litter (Benvellyn Opal), and two from the Second (Benvellyn Cape Reed Warbler and Benvellyn Bushveld Pipit).
